Day 4 - Cycle Croatia, Rovinj to Umag

Well rested we head to town for breakfast. On  the first downhill Anne-Marie shatters her rear shifter cable, five seconds later she notices the first bike shop we've seen, luck once again on our side. An hour, 50 krona ($10) and a coffee & omlette later we're all sorted. Also (4AUD/2GB) Yeh DATA! After riding the cobbled streets we headed north propper. At times amazing bike paths and others scary corners with no shoulders. Stoping at a sculpture park, winery and for a fish and pasta lunch in Porec (Anne-Marie didn't understand how two pints of beer were going to help Roo with the last 30km). Reuben managed his first flat in 4 bike tours, the racing bike may have it's down sides. A nanna nap then watched the sunset over the sea. All in all a good 80km first day warm up to get us started on our adventure.

Cycling the back alleys of Rovinj

One last photo op before our trek north really begins

Yes Yes, I got a flat.

A Jurassic park knock off, we didn't have time for a visit unfortunately.

Best Disco Club ever, unfortunately it was shut at 1pm.

After the climb of the day a sweaty 8km at 7%

Fittingly being on the other side of the world...
my first GoPro video reflects the change in orientation.

An amazing seafood (and beer) lunch looking over the Adriatic.

Wine tasting at Ivancic Winery, just what we need another 3kg+ of luggage.
We sorted this out later tonight.

The winemaker was kind enough to show us around his setup.

Making friends with the locals as ususal.

Evening in Umag, ham, cheese, cucumbers and bread with chilled Croatian wine while the local canine population sang to us (drove Anne-Marie crazy).

Then it got dark.
